an even easier way to ping the Update Services without having to visit one of those sites is by adding them to your Update Services list within Wordpress so everytime you make a post or change to a post the list of RPC servers are pinged with the notification automatically.

you can do this by going into your Wordpress admin click on OPTIONS then select the WRITING tab now scroll to the bottom you'll see a box titled UPDATE SERVICES.

copy and paste the following list into that box

your blog is now set to ping all of those services everytime you make or update a post.

Dayum, that's perfect for WordPress, especially since they tell you they ping to the best sites, but don't. Those guys can be so incredibly bogus and it only takes a few good browsings at the WordPress forums to figure that out. Thanks for the list.
